A Journey into Themed Product Photography
At our studio in Ballynahinch, Northern Ireland, we recently had the pleasure of working with Bragan Skincare, a unique Irish skincare brand known for its use of snail mucin—a powerful ingredient praised for its moisturising properties, collagen-boosting abilities, and its role in skin healing and regeneration. The project was as exciting as it was creative, as we were tasked with photographing their promotional gift boxes across multiple themes.

The Products and Vision
Bragan Skincare’s gift boxes showcased an array of products tailored for sensitive and dry skin, including:
A cleanser for sensitive skin
An anti-aging face cream
A hand cream for sensitive, dry skin
A body cream for sensitive skin
The brief? Create styled photography with thematic backdrops that could resonate across seasons and occasions—think Christmas, Halloween, Mother’s Day, and versatile options for Easter gifting.
Nature Meets Elegance
With snail mucin as the cornerstone of Bragan Skincare’s products, it was essential to weave elements of nature into our compositions. We chose lush greenery and plants as background elements to reflect the organic essence of the brand. As these products were designed for gifting, we complemented the natural setup with ribbons and gift packaging to evoke the charm of receiving a beautifully curated present.

Thematic Styling
Christmas: For the holiday season, we embraced subtlety with bokeh lighting and minimal Christmas décor. The twinkle of fairy lights added warmth without overpowering the star of the show—the products themselves.

Halloween: Dark and moody backgrounds set the stage for the Halloween theme, accented with vibrant autumn leaves in natural orange tones. This created a dramatic yet inviting aesthetic.

Mother’s Day & Easter: Being surrounded by beautiful blooms in our Ballynahinch studio was a blessing! For this theme, we used fresh flowers from our garden to infuse the shots with a soft, floral touch, perfectly capturing the warmth of Mother’s Day while also doubling as an Easter-inspired setting.
We also have workshops at our premises where we can make props for our product photography ideas. The wooden boards below were made by ourselves.

The Outcome
The final product photography images beautifully captured the essence of Bragan Skincare’s brand—a perfect balance of nature, luxury, and thoughtful gifting. The client was thrilled with the results, and we’re equally excited to continue collaborating with them in the future.
Reflections
This project not only showcased the versatility of product photography but also reminded us of the joy of storytelling through imagery. By blending natural elements with thematic touches, our product photography brought Bragan Skincare’s products to life, creating visuals that speak to their customers in a meaningful way.
